Baramulla, July 26: In a significant step towards youth empowerment and skill development in the region, the Indian Army inaugurated the newly revitalised Yuva Centre in Dangiwacha, located in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The upgraded centre now features a Hi-Tech Computer Lab, Vocational Training Units, and Digital Learning Tools aimed at equipping the local youth with skills relevant to modern-day employment opportunities. The initiative is part of the Indian Army’s ongoing outreach programme to support community development and foster education and employment among the youth in remote and underserved areas.
Army officials highlighted that the centre will offer structured training in digital literacy, computer applications, and vocational trades such as tailoring, electrical work, and carpentry—helping youth become self-reliant and job-ready.
“The Yuva Centre is more than just an education hub—it’s a beacon of hope for young minds in the region. We are committed to nurturing talent and enabling the youth to become positive contributors to society,” said an Army spokesperson during the inaugural event.
The centre is expected to benefit hundreds of young individuals by enhancing their skill sets, improving employability, and opening up avenues for entrepreneurship and digital inclusion.
