Srinagar, July 26: The Chinar Corps of the Indian Army marked the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas today. They paid tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 1999 Kargil War.
In a heartfelt message, the Corps recognized the strong spirit of the Indian soldiers. They said, “Courage stayed strong in the face of challenges; devotion led to freedom. They left a legacy that is the spirit of the Nation’s pride.”
Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed every year on July 26 to honor the bravery, courage, and selfless sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Vijay. This operation successfully removed Pakistani intruders from Indian territory in the Kargil region of Ladakh.
At the War Memorial in Srinagar and in forward locations along the Line of Control (LoC), wreath-laying ceremonies and patriotic tributes highlighted the day. Senior Army officials, veterans, and family members of the fallen heroes took part in the remembrance events, showing the country’s lasting gratitude to its brave soldiers.
The Chinar Corps reaffirmed its commitment to honour the bravery and ideals of those who gave their lives. They ensured that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
