Srinagar, July 8, 2025- The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 is progressing smoothly with an impressive turnout of devotees. As per official reports, more than 90,000 pilgrims have had darshan of the holy ice lingam at the sacred Amarnath cave shrine within the first five days of the Yatra.
The pilgrimage, which began on July 3, is being conducted under a robust multi-tier security arrangement, ensuring safety and comfort for thousands of yatris arriving daily via both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. The seamless coordination between the Jammu and Kashmir administration, Indian Army, J&K Police, CRPF, BSF, and other support agencies has been widely praised.
Officials from the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) confirmed that the yatra is proceeding as per schedule, with no major disruptions reported despite the challenging terrain and unpredictable weather conditions. Pilgrims are being assisted through every stage of the journey with the help of volunteers, medical teams, and disaster response personnel.
Speaking to the media, a senior official said,
“We have crossed the 90,000 mark in terms of darshan within just five days. The arrangements in place are focused on safety, health, and timely movement. All stakeholders are working in coordination to ensure a peaceful and fulfilling Yatra.”
Pilgrims from various states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab, have expressed their satisfaction with the infrastructure, food services (langars), RFID tracking system, and medical support at base camps and en route halting points.
Yatris have also praised the tireless service of security forces, many of whom are stationed across the pilgrimage routes, enduring extreme weather to ensure a peaceful experience for all. The RFID-enabled tracking system introduced this year has further improved movement monitoring and emergency response efficiency.
With the number of pilgrims steadily rising, the administration continues to issue appeals for strict adherence to registration protocols, health advisories, and weather alerts to prevent any overcrowding or health risks.
As the chants of “Bam Bam Bhole” fill the air, the sacred journey to Baba Barfani’s abode remains a shining example of spiritual devotion, national unity, and administrative excellence.
