Bhaderwah, June 16, 2025 – Demonstrating their commitment to serving humanity beyond their call of duty, personnel from the 33rd Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a blood donation camp at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir, on June 14, 2025, in observance of World Blood Donor Day. The initiative, part of a broader district-wide effort, saw enthusiastic participation from CRPF jawans, local administration, and medical teams, reinforcing the spirit of community service and solidarity.
The camp, held under the guidance of Doda’s Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, collected over 26 units of blood at SDH Bhaderwah alone, contributing to a district-wide effort that bolstered regional blood reserves. CRPF personnel, known for their role in maintaining security in the region, exemplified compassion by donating blood to support emergency medical needs. The event was coordinated with the Blood Centre of SDH Bhaderwah, ensuring hygienic and efficient collection under the supervision of trained healthcare professionals.
A CRPF spokesperson highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating, “Blood donation is a noble act that saves countless lives. Our jawans are trained not just to protect but to serve, and this camp reflects our commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” The 33rd Battalion’s participation was praised on social media, with posts noting their role in “Mission Bharosa,” a campaign to build trust and support local communities.
The blood donation drive was part of a larger effort across Doda district, where multiple camps were organized to mark World Blood Donor Day. The District Administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu and Kashmir, celebrated the active involvement of CRPF personnel and local volunteers. These efforts aim to address blood shortages, particularly critical during emergencies in the region.
This initiative follows the CRPF’s ongoing community outreach in Jammu and Kashmir, including recent activities like patrolling Dal Lake and welcoming tourists with flowers in Bhaderwah to restore confidence after the April 2025 Pahalgam attack. The blood donation camp underscores the force’s dual role in safeguarding lives and contributing to humanitarian causes, earning appreciation from locals and officials alike.
