Revised Haj 2025 flight schedule announced for Jammu & Kashmir pilgrims amid airspace disruptions

Ganderbal, May 20, 2025- The Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee announced a revised flight schedule for Haj 2025 pilgrims on May 20, 2025, addressing disruptions caused by the cancellation of seven chartered flights from Srinagar International Airport between May 7 and May 12, 2025. The cancellations, impacting 1,895 pilgrims, stemmed from airspace restrictions due to India-Pakistan tensions. The updated schedule includes: SG-5207, now departing May 25; SG-5208, split into May 27 and May 28; SG-5209 and SG-5210, both on May 30; and SG-5211 and SG-5212, both on May 31. An additional flight on May 15 helped mitigate the backlog.

Over 3,600 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir and 242 from Ladakh are set to perform Haj under the government quota this year. The committee, led by Executive Officer Shujaat Ahmad Qureshi, is coordinating with the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir and the Haj Committee of India to ensure smooth travel. A separate notification for reporting times at Haj House, Bemina, Srinagar, will be issued soon. Pilgrims are urged to follow baggage regulations and check official updates on hajcommittee.gov.in.
