Ganderbal, May 18, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, organized a vibrant Tiranga Rally on Thursday, May 15, 2025, to commemorate the success of Operation Sindoor and pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. The event, marked by fervent displays of patriotism, saw BJP workers, local leaders, and residents march through key areas of Ganderbal, proudly waving the national flag and chanting slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Indian Army Zindabad.”
The rally was part of a nationwide BJP-led Tiranga Yatra campaign, launched to honor the valor of the Indian Armed Forces following Operation Sindoor, a precision military operation conducted on May 7, 2025. The operation targeted nine terrorist launchpads and infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) in response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. Operation Sindoor successfully neutralized over 100 terrorists and destroyed multiple terror bases, showcasing India’s resolute stance against terrorism.
BJP leaders at the Ganderbal rally hailed the armed forces for their courage and professionalism, emphasizing that the operation, carried out under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, marked a historic milestone in India’s fight against terrorism. The event garnered widespread public support, reflecting a strong sense of unity and national pride in the region.
The Tiranga Rally in Ganderbal was one of several held across Jammu and Kashmir, including in Srinagar, Pahalgam, and Kupwara, as part of the BJP’s broader initiative to foster patriotism and express gratitude to the armed forces. The campaign, running from May 13 to May 23, 2025, aims to unite citizens beyond political lines in celebrating India’s military achievements and reinforcing national security.
