Srinagar, April 19, 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education is likely to announce the Class 12 Results 2025 for both soft and hard zones by April 30, 2025, as per information circulating online. The announcement follows the conclusion of the Higher Secondary Part-II examinations, which were held from February 15 to March 17 for soft zones and February 20 to March 24 for hard zones across the Union Territory.
Students will be able to check their results by visiting the official websites — jkbose.nic.in and jkresults.nic.in — using their roll number and registration number. The results will include all streams: Science, Arts, Commerce, and Home Science, representing the academic performance of thousands of students.
Although the April 30 date is widely anticipated, JKBOSE has not yet issued an official confirmation. Students are advised to regularly check the board’s official portals for verified updates.
This year’s exams were conducted under challenging weather conditions, leading to postponements of some papers in certain regions. To pass, students must score at least 33% in General English and 36% in each elective subject. For subjects involving practicals, a minimum of 36% is required separately in theory, practicals, and the overall aggregate.
A JKBOSE official emphasised the importance of this moment for students preparing for higher education. The online results will be provisional, containing student details such as name, stream, subject-wise marks, and grades. Official marksheets will be distributed through respective schools after the announcement.
The buzz around an April 30 release stems from posts on social media platforms, but no formal confirmation has been issued by JKBOSE. Last year, the Class 12 results were released on June 6, 2024, with an overall pass percentage of 74%. Girls outperformed boys, with 77% passing compared to 72%.
Students not satisfied with their results can apply for re-evaluation, which costs ₹495 per subject. The application window will open after the results are declared, and re-evaluation outcomes are expected by July 2025.
As the result date approaches, students are encouraged to remain calm, rely only on official sources for updates, and prepare for the next steps in their academic journey. The JKBOSE Class 12 Results 2025 will play a crucial role in shaping the futures of thousands of students across Jammu and Kashmir.
