India’s Tara Prasad Eyes 2026 Winter Olympics in Figure Skating. India’s skating star and National Champion Tara Prasad aims for 2026 Olympics glory. US-born Tara has an Indian Nationality/ Citizenship. Tara has been skating since 2007 recreationally. She started traininng at the age of 13 and learnt double jumps. At 21, she won the Indian national title. In 2019, Tara changed her US Citizenship choosing to be called Indian national. She has since won three national skating championships. Tara Prasad, a three-time Indian national figure skating champion, is setting her sights on the 2026 Winter Olympics. Born in Iowa to Indian immigrants, Prasad began skating at age seven and transitioned to representing India internationally in 2020. She made history by earning silver at the 2024 Reykjavik International Games, becoming India’s first medalist in a senior international figure skating competition. Prasad continues to train rigorously, aiming to showcase her talents on the Olympic stage. Tara’s goals include landing the triple axel in competition, qualifying for the World Championships and competing at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
