Doda, February 4, 2025: A meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme was held , chaired by District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh, to review and approve loan applications under the scheme.
The District Officer provided an overview of the JKREGP scheme and presented a list of 97 applications received through the online portal. Following a detailed review, the committee interviewed 75 applicants who were present, discussing their proposed business ventures. After careful evaluation, 75 loan applications were approved, enabling these aspiring entrepreneurs to receive financial assistance for establishing their businesses under the JKREGP scheme.
The approved applicants will now be able to access the necessary funds to start their ventures, which will contribute to self-employment and drive economic growth in the region.
In his remarks, the DDC emphasised the significance of the JKREGP in generating local employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship. He encouraged beneficiaries to make optimal use of the financial support provided, ensuring the success and sustainability of their businesses. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and furthering economic development in the district.
