SAMBA, December 4: An Awareness programme on the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) was conducted at Panchayat Ghar, Khara Madana, in Block Purmandal. The event was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mrs. Champa Devi.
The Department of Agriculture and Allied Sectors presented detailed information on the 29 initiatives under HADP, aiming to empower farmers with knowledge about various schemes available to them. These include projects such as the promotion of exotic vegetable cultivation, mushroom farming, beekeeping, farm mechanisation, horticulture development, animal husbandry, fisheries, sericulture, and value addition, among others.
In her address, the Additional District Development Commissioner outlined how farmers could avail the benefits of these schemes through the Kisan Sarthi Portal and gain additional skills via the Kisan Daksh Portal.
Key officials, including the Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Deputy District Education Officer, Assistant Director of Fisheries, Samba, and Block Development Officer of Purmandal, provided valuable insights on the support available for establishing ventures in these sectors.
At the end of the session, Mrs. Champa Devi handed over sanction letters to several beneficiaries, supporting initiatives such as the establishment of Millet Mills, Low-Cost Polyhouses, and HDEP Vermi Beds, among others. These farmers had successfully applied for the HADP benefits via the dedicated portal.
