UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 22: The SVEEP Team Udhampur organized a Voter Awareness Programme today at Government Higher Secondary School Tikri in preparation for the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2024.
The event was held under the supervision of District Election Officer, Udhampur Saloni Rai and witnessed enthusiastic participation from first-time voters, staff members and students.
The programme featured a cultural segment where school children creatively highlighted the importance of voter awareness through performances and speeches.
The event began with Vice Principal Anu Sharma welcoming the guests and urging everyone to actively participate in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Speaking on the occasion, SVEEP Nodal Officer, Dr. Preeti Sharma, emphasized the crucial role of youth in the democratic process of Jammu and Kashmir. She encouraged the youth and other respectable citizens to ensure 100% voter turnout, underlining their vital role in the development of the region.
Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Narinder Mohan Suri also addressed the gathering, appealing for complete voter participation. He urged all school in-charges to actively engage in voter awareness initiatives and expressed gratitude to the SVEEP team for organizing such impactful programmes within school campuses.
The event was attended by Zonal Education Officer Tikri, Madan Lal Dogra, along with other staff members and SVEEP team members, who contributed to the success of the programme.
