The Amarnath Yatra this year has been an exceptional experience for many pilgrims. The meticulous arrangements by the police, army, BSF, and other involved organizations have made the journey smooth and enjoyable. The improvements in infrastructure, cleanliness, and overall organisation have been noticeable and greatly appreciated by all. One pilgrim shared, “This is his first pilgrimage to Amarnath, and he is immensely grateful for the outstanding organisation here. Last year, he traveled from Pahalgam and got down through the Baltalroute . This year, he did the same routes, and applauded the improvements. The roads are significantly wider, the cleanliness has increased, and the arrangement of stores has become even better. The cooperation from the horse, mule, and pittu owners has also improved, and their behavior is commendable.” During his journey, he faced some breathing difficulties. Thankfully, the horse and mule owners acted swiftly,took him to the hospital where he received oxygen. He was deeply impressed by the prompt and efficient arrangements. Another pilgrim remarked, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are incredibly friendly. Come here without any fear. This is a wonderful place, and wish everyone could experience such well-organised arrangements. A third pilgrim, who has been involved has a shop there for the past 15 years, added, “The sanitation workers have been maintaining cleanliness every day, and almost 80% of their livelihood in Ganderbal depends on this. This year, the pilgrimage is going very well. He is grateful to the administration for the extensive facilities they have provided. Every department, including the police, NDRF, SDRF, and ITBP, has been very cooperative. The sanitation campaign over the past two to three years has been particularly effective. The sanitation workers are on duty from 5 am to 12 pm, and they have received ample support. He did not face any problems with food, courses, or our duties. He are thankful to all those responsible for maintaining the facilities and ensuring a smooth pilgrimage.” Overall, the arrangements at Amarnath have been outstanding, making the pilgrimage a memorable and fulfilling experience.
