LG Sinha Celebrates Ayurveda Day in Jammu & Kashmir | Unlocking the Green Gold Potential for Farmers

LG Sinha Celebrates Ayurveda Day in Jammu & Kashmir | Unlocking the Green Gold Potential for Farmers Ayurved Diwas is celebrated all over India in honour of Lord Dhanvantari, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha on the occasion of Dhan Teras. The objective is to ensure participation of every citizen of the society in the mass movement of Ayurveda Day. The focus is on three key areas. Ayurveda for farmers, Ayurveda for students, and Ayurveda for the general public. I think Jammu and Kashmir is sitting on the gold mine of Ayurveda, LG said. There are 1,123 research certified medicinal plants in Jammu and Kashmir which can be converted into gold, LG said. Many farmer brothers may not have seen these plants or in the absence of information they may not have realised that they have such a valuable commodity which has more profit potential than the stock market. This year, through the campaign of Ayurveda Day, farmers have been made aware that they have green gold and can increase their income through the production of medicinal plants. Yoga and Ayurveda have gained global acceptance due to the efforts of the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Today Ayurveda is being promoted in this way all over the world. It seems to me that everyone is hopeful that in the next five years the way of life mentioned in Ayurveda and ancient Indian Sanskrit will somehow be included in the main stream of the society.
