In the coming years, the grand form of Shri Adi Shankaracharya Temple will be revealed in its full glory before devotees across the country.

Employment & Economic Development

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will construct fifty shops within the Shri Adi Shankaracharya Temple Complex to generate employment for local residents. These shops will be allotted to landowners.

Many devotees who visit Mata Vaishno Devi are followers of Sanatan Dharma and will also visit this temple to seek blessings of Lord Bholenath. This will:

  • Boost business and economic activities in the region
  • Create new employment opportunities
  • Strengthen local businesses
  • Accelerate regional development

The Shrine Board will also prioritize procurement from women self-help groups and local young entrepreneurs to further strengthen the regional economy.

A Centre of Spiritual Awakening

It is mentioned in history that Shri Adi Shankaracharya came to this hill, meditated here, and offered prayers. Therefore, this temple will become a centre of attraction not only for people of Reasi, Kathua, or the Jammu region, but for devotees from all over the country.

The Lieutenant Governor expressed that spiritual upliftment and economic prosperity are not separate; they are two sides of the same coin and complement each other.

With the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, this temple will:

  • Enliven the Vedic tradition
  • Strengthen spiritual foundations in devotees’ lives
  • Become a new base for the spiritual life of crores of devotees

A Symbol of National Unity & Sanatan Culture

  • National unity
  • Cultural renaissance
  • Religious harmony

The Adi Shankaracharya Temple will not merely be a structure of stones and pillars but a symbol of Sanatan culture, collective faith, strength, and India’s spiritual-cultural consciousness.
