PULWAMA, July 23: In a major step toward youth empowerment and self-reliance, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, today distributed 53 sanction letters under the Mission YUVA initiative. The distribution event aimed to encourage young individuals to become ambassadors of the scheme and lead the path of entrepreneurship and innovation in the district.
Addressing the gathering, DC Pulwama urged the youth to take full advantage of the opportunities provided under Mission YUVA, a flagship initiative launched to empower unemployed youth through self-employment ventures, financial support, and capacity-building programs. He emphasized that such schemes are vital to building a sustainable economic future for Jammu and Kashmir’s young population.
“The youth of Pulwama have immense potential. With the right support and guidance, they can become job creators instead of job seekers,” said Dr. Basharat. He encouraged beneficiaries to inspire others by becoming success stories and contributing to the district’s socio-economic development.
The sanctioned projects span various sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, services, and retail, reflecting the administration’s inclusive approach to livelihood generation.
Mission YUVA continues to serve as a transformative platform for unlocking opportunities and nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of Pulwama.
