Kathua,March 14,2026-In a significant initiative to connect job seekers with employment opportunities, over 500 youth from hilly and rural areas of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir participated in Job Fair–2026 held at the Sports Stadium Kathua.
The job fair was organised by the Employment & Counselling Centre Kathua with the aim of providing employment opportunities and career guidance to unemployed youth of the region. The event witnessed participation from several national and multinational companies, which offered various private sector job opportunities across different fields.
Officials said that more than 500 registered candidates attended the fair, where they interacted directly with recruiters and explored job prospects in sectors such as sales, services, marketing, and administration. The initiative provided a valuable platform for young job seekers to understand industry requirements and showcase their skills.
Participants from remote and hilly areas expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating that such job fairs help bridge the gap between employers and aspiring candidates, especially for those who may not have easy access to recruitment opportunities.
Organizers highlighted that the fair was part of ongoing efforts to promote employment generation and career awareness among youth in the district. They added that similar initiatives will continue in the future to support job seekers and enhance employability skills.
