4th Snow Skiing Course ends at IISM Gulmarg

Gulmarg, February 28,2026- The 4th Snow Skiing Course concluded successfully at the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg, marking a significant step toward promoting winter sports and adventure tourism in the region.

A total of 100 youth from different parts of India participated in the course, undergoing intensive training in snow skiing techniques, safety protocols, and mountain discipline. The programme aimed at nurturing young talent while boosting winter sports culture and adventure tourism in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The closing ceremony was graced by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Gurvinder Pal Singh, who attended as the Chief Guest. He distributed certificates and awards to the participants, appreciating their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the training programme.

Officials highlighted that such courses not only build confidence and physical endurance among youth but also contribute significantly to positioning Gulmarg as a premier winter sports destination in India.

The successful completion of the 4th Snow Skiing Course further strengthens Gulmarg’s reputation as a hub for professional ski training and adventure tourism development.
