Reasi, June 23,2026- In a significant step towards women empowerment and self-employment, the State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI), Reasi, successfully concluded a 35-day Junior Beauty Practitioner training programme, benefiting 31 women from different parts of the district.
The skill development initiative was designed to equip participants with professional beauty and wellness skills while also fostering entrepreneurial capabilities. During the training, women received hands-on instruction in various aspects of beauty care, skincare, hair care, grooming, and salon management, along with guidance on starting and managing their own businesses.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted the importance of vocational training in enhancing employment opportunities and promoting economic independence among women. The programme aimed to create a pool of skilled beauty practitioners capable of generating sustainable livelihoods through self-employment and micro-enterprises.
Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating that the training had boosted their confidence and provided them with practical skills to establish beauty parlours or pursue careers in the beauty and wellness sector.
SBI-RSETI Reasi continues to play a crucial role in empowering rural youth and women through skill development programmes aligned with market demands. Such initiatives contribute significantly to livelihood generation, financial inclusion, and the socio-economic development of the region.
The successful completion of the training programme marks another milestone in the institute’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship and create self-reliant communities across Reasi district.
