Srinagar, December 02, 2025: In a heartwarming ceremony that blended pride, emotion, and tradition, 262 young boys from Kashmir were formally inducted as soldiers into the JAKLI Regiment of the Indian Army. The event highlighted the enduring spirit of service and the region’s deep connection to the armed forces.
The families of the newly inducted soldiers were honoured with the Gaurav Padak, recognising their unwavering support and sacrifices. The ceremony witnessed tearful farewells, proud smiles, and the ceremonial presentation of army badges, symbols of courage and commitment that carry the aspirations of generations.
Senior officials of the Indian Army lauded the bravery and dedication of the young recruits and underscored the importance of disciplined training and service. The induction not only marks a milestone in the lives of the recruits but also strengthens the historical contribution of Kashmir to the Indian Army.
The event reinforced the bond between the Indian Army and the people of Jammu & Kashmir, inspiring the youth to pursue a career in defense services while celebrating family pride and community recognition.
