Rajouri, August 4,2026- More than 200 young participants joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual interaction during the launch of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan in Rajouri, marking a significant step toward strengthening the nationwide campaign against drug abuse.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, volunteers, and youth representatives, who pledged to support the vision of a drug-free India and contribute to the goal of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). The virtual address by the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of youth-led awareness, community participation, and collective responsibility in combating substance abuse.
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma urged the youth of Rajouri to take a firm pledge against drug addiction and become ambassadors of the anti-drug movement in their communities. He emphasized that the active involvement of young people is crucial in building a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society.
The campaign aims to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse while encouraging preventive measures through educational institutions, community outreach programmes, and public participation. Officials reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening anti-drug initiatives across the district in collaboration with educational institutions, civil society organizations, and law enforcement agencies.
Participants expressed their commitment to promoting awareness, supporting rehabilitation efforts, and encouraging their peers to stay away from drugs, reinforcing the message that youth empowerment is key to achieving the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
