15 Years of Pain: Baramulla Family Finds Hope After Sister’s Killing – Thanks to LG Manoj Sinha My sister got kidnapped from the Baramulla hospital in Jammu & Kashmir. We got to know a day later that her dead body was lying in the police station. We never got to know why she was kidnapped and killed. There was the wound of a gunshot on her neck, said her brother. The deceased’s sister said, my sister was in eleventh class and she used to do her studies well and contribute in household work. Everything was going fine for her. After this incident, my mother went to everyone in the government but nobody listened to her pleas. Her brother added that for 15 years our mother went from tehsil to tehsil but no one cared enough about her situation. When the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha announced that whoever has been killed in J&K in the past and not got redressal, I am here. I will help them to get justice for their surviving families, this news made us so happy, said the slain girl’s sister. We have not seen happiness in as many years. In fact, there are many homes in J&K where this news brought happiness to terror impacted surviving families, the slain girl’s sister added. Till now, we were thinking our sister died. But today, we are thinking she is alive now, thanks to LG Manoj Sinha. My mother cannot walk but she went to meet the LG, she was so happy. We pray to God that how this news brought strength and happiness to our family, in the same way, may happiness arrive in other such terror impacted families.
