Ganderbal, April 25,2026- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has approved a ₹9.60 crore multi-level car parking project for Ganderbal, aimed at addressing the growing issue of traffic congestion and inadequate parking facilities in the town.
The project is expected to significantly ease vehicular pressure in busy market areas, providing organized parking space and improving overall traffic management. Officials said the initiative will enhance urban infrastructure and ensure smoother movement for residents and visitors.
According to sources, the multi-level parking facility will be equipped with modern features and designed to accommodate a large number of vehicles, reducing roadside parking and congestion on key routes.
The approval reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening civic amenities and upgrading urban infrastructure across Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities believe the project will not only improve convenience for commuters but also support local businesses by making commercial areas more accessible.
