Kashmir, February 25, 2026-The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved ₹1,677 crore for the expansion of the civil enclave at Srinagar International Airport, aiming to enhance passenger experience and operational capacity.
The upcoming development includes a new terminal building that will increase the airport’s capacity to 10 million passengers annually. Additional infrastructure will feature expanded aircraft bays, upgraded security barracks, and a 1,000-car parking facility to accommodate the growing influx of travelers.
Officials say the expansion will improve connectivity, streamline operations, and support tourism and business travel in Jammu & Kashmir, making the airport a modern gateway to the region.
